The care we provide
We strongly believe that there is more to good care than just looking after a person's physical needs.
With this in mind, we provide a varied and stimulating activities programme, including:
Movement to Music
Reminiscence sessions
Aromatherapy
Regular country bus rides
Joining in with local events
(such as special church services,
fetes and shows)
Visits by local schoolchildren
Regular visits by the local vicar and Baptist Church
And much, much more ...
There's more to care than just looking after physical needs
Dedicated individual care
Dedicated carers are on duty day and night. These are supported by our senior carers and manager.Care planning ensures that each resident recieves the individual care they need. The Care Plan is a guide to all carers and it ensures that the appropriate care is offered and delivered consistently.
By
continually monitoring and reviewing the Care Plan, we can be confident
that every resident is recieving the quality care they deserve.
'Key-workers' are carers responsible for ensuring that residents have everything they need. This not only applies to material things such as toiletries and sewing, but they also work on forming a close relationship with residents. This ensures that each resident's emotional well being is also maintained.
Specialist care needs are provided by the GP and district nurses, visiting optician, chiropodist and dentist.
